The Ministry of Family and Social Services has organized "Türkiye Child Research Workshop" to reveal the child profile of Türkiye in order to create indicators that will increase child welfare.
The workshop has been held in Ankara in line with the data regularly recorded by the institutions providing services for children and the information obtained from field research.
Data Based Child Profile
Speaking at the opening of the workshop, Dr. Musa Şahin, Director General of Child Services, has recalled that many ministries regularly request data on children during the development plan preparations that shape the policies in Türkiye, and has said that the Türkiye Child Survey has been initiated by the Directorate General of Child Services to meet this request.
In cooperation with TURKSTAT and UNICEF
Stating that the Türkiye Child Research Project, which was included in the 2021 Investment Plan by the Presidency of Strategy and Budget, has been initiated in cooperation with the Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT) and UNICEF, Şahin has said that a face-to-face survey will be conducted in the field within the framework of the sample determined for the study in order to meet the need for data about children, especially child welfare indicators, and to create child welfare indicators.
