Minister Selçuk Read Books to Children Under State Protection at the Nation’s Library

Minister of Family, Labour and Social Services Zehra Zümrüt Selçuk came together with children under state protection at the Nation’s Library of Presidency on the occasion of Library Week.

Meeting 20 children aged 8-12 from 4 children's houses in Ankara in children’s books section at the Nation’s Library, Zehra Zümrüt Sekçuk conversed with the children individually.

While 10-year-old Samet Coşkun, one of the children livened up the conversation by reading the poem titled “Serçe”, Minister Selçuk gave children a surprise by choosing a book from the library.

Minister Selçuk said to children, “If you are ready, I will start reading” and a child replied, "I have the same book and I will follow you." Selcuk's response to the child's words as "You warn me if I don't read it correctly" gave rise to laughs.

Reading a story from Cahit Zarifoğlu's book “Serçe Kuşu”, Minister Selçuk also asked children questions about the story.

After the event, Selçuk presented books to the children and had a souvenir photo taken with them.
