890 Young under State Protection Appointed to Public Institutions and Organizations

The Ministry of Family and Social Services has appointed 890 young people under state protection to public institutions and organizations.

Derya Yanık, Minister of Family and Social Services, has stated in her speech at the ceremony of placing the young people who are raised under state protection in public institutions and organizations that the young people to be appointed cover different age groups.

Expressing that they share the excitement of the young people, Yanık has said, "You are unique for us in two respects. Firstly, because you are our beacon of hope that will carry the country into the future and build its future, and secondly, because you are an example to your sisters and brothers in institutions and organizations, and to all young people of Turkey. That's why we have high expectations from you.”

Stating that she is sure that young people will achieve a lot, she has added, "We have very successful sisters and brothers who are in institutional care. I think each of you carries a social message in this sense."

"You have the power to do this"

Explaining that there were different models for state protection 20-25 years ago, Yanık has said, "Our friends who stayed and grew up in institutions at that time remember the conditions. In the process, there was a serious mentality transformation as well as a serious physical investment."

Minister Yanık has addressed the youth as follows:

“You are all very important and valuable. Each of you has to hold on to the work you do wherever you go and be very successful. You are capable of achieving this. As young people who have written many stories on their own in Turkey's future and succeeded with their own strength, we know that each of these stories is very important. Never forget that your stories are an example to your other sisters and brothers. Because you are young people whose eyes and gaze will be directed by those who come after you and whom they will take as a model.”

"I believe you will present a manifesto of kindness to the world"

Indicating that Turkey's future will be shaped by young people and children, Yanık has said that in the face of difficulties, we should continue without hesitation. And she has continued:

“We will continue to write our own story with our own strength, with the belief that God will protect us. You have already started to write this story. Continue to write your story well with determination, faith and strength in future as well. We love you and we are very hopeful for you. I know that young people know and understand all too well, contrary to what some adults say to bless their world. They were born into a world other than us and live in another world. Therefore, it is you who will make this world beautiful. Because it is human beings who make the world better or worse. How we act will become the world we live in. I expect and believe that you will present a manifesto of kindness to the whole world, starting from your environment, and raise your word of kindness. Good luck to all of you, may you all have a long life. Do what you do well, hold on to your work. These opportunities are opportunities to be used for the common good of all of us. I entrust you all to God.”

"I am glad that in my story, my personal dreams have come true"

Stating that she gained a warm home with state protection at a time when she lost her full strength in life, Hatice Türkoğlu, one of the young people to be appointed, has said, "I have evolved to a point where I fight for my dreams, not for life. Fortunately, in my story, my personal dreams have come true. I have been a member of this family since my childhood and I am always proud to be a member of this family."

Underlining that she always acts with responsibility, Türkoğlu has said that she will try to serve the state and the nation with the same responsibility from now on.

Özge Erkan, one of the young people to be appointed, has said she is very happy and added, "I would like to thank our state and our President, and I thank my mother raising me."

After the speeches, Minister Yanık and entitled young people pressed the button together for the assignment drawing. The appointment of 890 young people who grew up under state protection to public institutions and organizations was done.

After the draw, the names of the young people who were appointed and the places they would work were reflected on the screen, while the Minister Yanık and the young people followed the results of the assignment.
