With the participation of Derya Yanık, the Minister of Family and Social Services, 1050 young people under state protection have been appointed to public institutions and organizations.
In her speech at the "Drawing Ceremony for Placing Young People Benefiting from State Protection in Public Institutions" held in the Ministry, Derya Yanık has reminded that they have previously made two appointments in this field. Wishing good luck for the third appointment draw held today, Minister Yanık has said that she feels the excitement experienced by the young people. Yanık has said, "Your success is a source of pride for us. Your success is our pride. Your future is the future of our country. Today, we are giving a good example of our solidarity culture with the employment rights and opportunities provided to our youth who benefit from state protection. Our youth's looking to future with confidence is always one of the top priorities for our nation and government.”
Emphasizing that every young person is important and valuable as an individual, Minister Yanık has continued as follows:
“We are aware of this value as the representatives of a tradition that has kneaded all its values with the understanding of 'making people live'. On this path, we are working with all our strength to keep every segment of society and every citizen alive in dignity. We strive to be a beautiful part of the dreams of the young people to whom we entrust our future. With every service and work we do for our children, we build their future and our country's future. We carry out these works everywhere with the feelings of interest, love, compassion, self-sacrifice and determination. In this direction, the measures we take for the healthy growth of our children and the programs we carry out are diverse. We carry out studies on different topics, from home care support to our corporate services, in order to protect them from preventable risks and ensure that they grow up in peaceful and safe conditions.”
In this context, pointing out that they have increased the rate of children benefiting from services carried out with the family centered, from 39 percent to 91 percent since 2002, Yanık has said “We support our children within their families when the conditions are appropriate, and we attach importance to ensuring this in every situation where family unity can be maintained.”
“Our goal is to raise strong generations with their social and spiritual values”
Indicating that they have made revolutionary arrangements in child services for children under protection and care, Yanık has stated that the care and protection of children is now carried out in home-type institutions instead of ward-type institutions.
Pointing out that they are trying to ensure that every child benefiting from state protection grows up in a more peaceful and safe environment, Minister Yanık has continued as follows:
“We know that a model where they can get together with their neighbors in the apartment and with their friends in the neighborhood strengthens our children at the point of integration with the society. The researches and the resulting evaluations scientifically reveal the accuracy of the system that we have started to implement with the radical change in our understanding of child services. Our goal with all these efforts is to ensure that our children become well-equipped and self-confident individuals, and to raise strong generations with social and moral values as well as morally. For this purpose, we also develop different practices for our children. We take our preventive measures against physical, mental and educational risk factors.”
“In 2021, 18 of our children took place in the 15th percentile of LGS”
Explaining that they monitor and inspect the risks children face on the street, at school and in broadcasting media with the teams, Minister Yanık has said, “For example, we have further activated our Board for Protection of Minors from Obscene Publications, established under our Ministry, so that our children are not exposed to harmful content in printed works. Surely, in our age when communication facilities have become completely uncontrollable, the important thing is to strengthen self-control in our children, to develop self-esteem and moral self. For this reason, we attach special importance to the education of our children.”
Regarding the successes achieved in the exams, Minister Yanık has stated, “In 2021, 18 of our children took place in the 15th percentile of LGS. 241 of our children under our protection succeeded in getting into a higher education program this year again.”
Indicating that the future of the youth is the future of Turkey, Yanık has said that with this understanding, social, cultural and sportive activities are organized to motivate the young people who are under protection in institutions.
Minister Yanık has reminded that they provide Job and Vocational Counseling Trainings between the ages of 13 and 18 (ages 13-15 and 16-18) in order to properly prepare young people for business and professional life.
Reminding that young people in higher education or leaving the institution are given basic training on topics such as "Life Skills", "Working Life and Law", Yanık has stated that they have taken some steps to support the career plans of the young people regarding the appointments made.

“We have increased the application period of our young people with employment rights from 2 to 5 years, and we have made it easier for them to start life by introducing the method of drawing instead of the exam in appointments. From 2003 to 2021, we have placed a total of 34.560 young people in public. The number of that since 1988 is 55.862 in total. With our drawing ceremony today, we will place another 1.050 young people who have benefited from state protection.”

“We will continue to be your comrade and family”
Emphasizing that the AK Party governments are constantly raising the bar in preparing children and youth for a good future, Yanık has said, “With these appointments made to the public, we hope that a new page is opened in the lives of our young people. We will continue to be with you with our activities. Before starting your duties, in order to enable you to act more consciously and smoothly, we will provide informative seminars that will guide you, as well as our young people who were appointed before you, about working conditions and rules in the public. We will continue to be by your side, to be your comrade and your family, as we have always done.”
Underlining her confidence in the youth, Yanık has said, “We will strengthen our strength with the good news we receive from you. I have no doubt that you will support our work in the places you are and in the institutions you work for, and that you will set a good example for your brothers and sisters from behind. I wish you all success and happiness with the most heartfelt feelings. May Allah be with you.”
“Don't give up on your dreams!”
Ayşe Nur Oruçcu, one of the right holders appointed, has also said in her speech that she is a young person who takes advantage of the social service models offered by the Ministry and walks towards her goals step by step.
Emphasizing that the Ministry is a family for them, Oruçcu has expressed her feelings as follows:
“Our Ministry gave that little girl the strength to reach her dreams, loved and embraced her. It has always been with us and I know it will always be. We started life with obstacles with my sister, but after being included in this big family, the direction of our story changed, the conditions for hope, success and effort were created. At school, the love of mathematics led to dreams of seeing myself as an engineer in the future. That dream came true. At the moment, I'm here as an engineer, my dear family. Now I have a bigger dream: As a female engineer, I would like to put my signature to major projects realized in our country. As someone who has made her dreams come true, all I can say to you is don't give up on your dreams.”
At the ceremony, Hakkı Çakıcı, a musician, one of the young people who benefited from state protection and was appointed, has given a clarinet performance.
