Minister of Family and Social Services Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş announced that the Ministry deposited 3.3 billion TL worth of pensions for older persons and persons with disabilities into their accounts in September.

Minister Göktaş noted that services for persons with disabilities and older citizens were carried out within the framework of human-oriented and rights-based policies.

Stating that the Ministry paid approximately 1.8 billion TL in pension payments for older persons in September, Göktaş noted that approximately 1.5 billion TL in pensions for persons with disabilities were deposited into the accounts of their beneficiaries.

Stating that the Ministry implemented thematic social assistance programs for persons with disabilities and older citizens, Minister Göktaş said, "We support older persons and persons with disabilities, whom we always supported in their participation in education, health, economy and social life, with our regular payments. Accordingly, we deposited 3.3 billion TL of pensions for older persons and persons with disabilities into the accounts of their beneficiaries in September."
