The Ministry of Family and Social Services is launching the project titled 'Let's Heal Together' for nearly 12.000 citizens affected by the earthquakes centered in Kahramanmaraş on February 6 who traveled to Germany to be with their relatives.
Following the February 6 earthquakes centered in Kahramanmaraş, Turkish citizens living in Germany invited their relatives in the earthquake zone to Germany temporarily, and a special visa arrangement was issued by the German authorities. Accordingly, nearly 12.000 citizens affected by the earthquake traveled to Germany with the benefit of this special visa.
Accordingly, the Ministry took action to identify and meet the needs of earthquake survivors who traveled to Germany to be with their relatives and initiated the project "Let's Heal Together" together with the Berlin Embassy of the Republic of Türkiye, Yunus Emre Institute, Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities.
Activities will be organized for children
Within the scope of the project, aiming to provide psychosocial support to citizens, the Ministry will organize family seminars, psychoeducation sessions and historical and cultural excursions for adults and children through psychologists, psychological counselors, social workers and child development specialists. During the interviews with the families, needs will be identified and prospective follow-ups will be conducted.
In addition, the project, aiming to reduce the negative effects of the earthquake on citizens, will provide information to Turkish families residing in Germany and whose relatives come from the earthquake zone on how to approach their relatives affected by the earthquake and on what needs to be taken into consideration.
It will firstly be implemented in Berlin
The project 'Let's Heal Together', which is initially to be implemented in Berlin, is planned to be launched in other cities of Germany, while citizens will now be able to make their applications quickly and easily via https://forms.aile.gov.tr/birlikte-iyileselim
