Our Minister Derya Yanık: “We have started to deposit a total of 1 billion 847 million TL Home Care Allowance into accounts”


Our Minister of Family and Social Services, Derya Yanık, announced that they started to deposit a total of 1 billion 847 million TL Home Care Allowance into accounts this month in order to provide economic support to citizens with severe disabilities and their families in need of care.

Minister Derya Yanık reminded that with the Home Care Allowance launched in 2006 through the idea of supporting persons with disabilities primarily with their families, citizens of relatives with severe disabilities in need of care and those who cannot work because they take care of them are supported.

Noting that an average of 560 thousand citizens who take care of their relatives with disabilities in need of care benefit from "Home Care Allowance" per month, Minister Yanık reminded that in this context, a monthly payment of 3.336 TL per beneficiary is made.

Minister Yanık said, “We started to deposit a total of 1 billion 847 million TL Home Care Allowance into accounts this month in order to provide economic support to citizens with severe disabilities in need of care and their families. In 2022, we made a total of 18 billion TL Home Care Allowance payments. As the Ministry, we will continue to develop policies with a rights-based perspective so that persons with disabilities can fully enjoy basic rights such as education, health, security and employment.”

On the other hand, with the new regulation in the civil servant salary coefficient for January, Home Care Allowance payments will be deposited into the accounts of beneficiaries in an incremental manner in February.
