The Workshop titled "Sports Right" was held in Ankara as part of the Preparation Works of the National Action Plan for The Rights of The Disabled Vision Without Obstacles
Unhindered Vision Disability Rights National Action Plan within the scope of preparation work on the right to sports workshop was held at the 75th Nursing Home.
The meeting, which was attended by representatives of civil society in the field of disability, was opened by Md.Orhan KOÇ, General Manager of Disability and Elderly Services. In his opening speech, gave information about the preparation workof the Unhindered Vision Document and the National Action Plan for The Rights of The Disabled. Md. With this need, our Ministry has initiated preparations for the National Action Plan for Disability Rights with the Unhindered Vision Document."
Emphasizing the importance of studies in the field of disability, Md. KOÇ stated that the Unhindered Vision Document and the National Action Plan for Disability Rights are important to ensure that disabled people can benefit from all rights together with other individuals with an understanding of all rights. In order for these studies to take place with strong coordination, the Monitoring and Evaluation Board of The Rights of The Disabled willbe strengthened and established by Md. KOÇ stated that the Board will be strengthened by the Presidential Circular.
After the opening of the meeting, the session continued with the presentation of "Convention for Disability Rights- Sports Rights" by Family, Labour and Social Services Specialist Arzu GÖKERKEK after Tayyar KUZ, head of the Research Development and Project Department, informed about the preparation efforts of the National Action Plan for Disability Rights with Unhindered Vision. Sports Rights as part of the ongoing meeting after the presentation,draft activities, the current situation of the representatives of the institutions and the assessments of what needs to bedone, suggestions and requests for changes to the action plan were discussed.
