Within the scope of the Survey on the Profile of Older Persons Türkiye (2023), which would be conducted for the first time in the country in order to obtain data in ageing and to create evidence-based and effective policies in line with the data obtained; " Survey on the Profile of Older Persons Türkiye Cooperation Protocol" was signed between the Directorate General and the Turkish Statistical Institute.

Within the scope of the investment program of the Ministry for the year 2023, the Survey on the Profile of Older Persons Türkiye would be conducted for the first time in order to create social indicators that holistically address the services for older persons and the needs of older persons in Türkiye, to obtain evidence-based data, and to plan protective and preventive activities in line with the data obtained.

"Ageing Vision Document" and "National Action Plan on the Rights of Older Persons (2023-2025)" prepared under the coordination of the Ministry in cooperation with all responsible and relevant public institutions, the civil society organizations and universities to create a "Society for All Ages" was shared with the public by the Minister of Family and Social Services on April 29.

With the signed protocol, an important step was taken to achieve the goal of developing data and statistics for policy making and monitoring of implementation in ageing, which was included in the National Action Plan on the Rights of Older Persons.
