Our Minister Derya Yanık: “We have deposited 1 billion 289 million TL of Home Care Allowance into accounts”
Our Minister of Family and Social Services, Derya Yanık, announced that they have deposited a total of 1 billion 289 million TL of Home Care Allowance into accounts this month for citizens with severe disabilities and their families in need of care.
Minister Derya Yanık reminding that they carry out support programs in order to provide care for persons with disabilities primarily in the family environment, said: “We implement human-oriented and rights-based service models so that our citizens with disabilities can participate fully and effectively in social life and live independently. Among these models, home care allowance has an important role.”
Noting that they support persons with disabilities living with their families with service models such as day care services and home care allowance, Minister Yanık said: “With the home care allowance, which has been initiated in 2006 with the idea of supporting persons with disabilities primarily with their families, we also support our citizens that have relatives with severe disabilities who need care and cannot work since they take care of them.”
Reminding that a monthly payment of 2,354 TL is made per beneficiary who takes care of a relative with disabilities in need of care, Minister Yanık said: “In order to provide economic support to citizens with severe disabilities and their families in need of care, we have deposited a total of 1 billion 289 million TL Home Care Allowance into accounts this month. This month, 547 thousand citizens benefited from Home Care Allowance. I wish the payments will be beneficial to all our citizens with disabilities.”
