The 98th anniversary of the proclamation of the Republic was celebrated with enthusiasm in nursing homes affiliated to the General Directorate of Services for Persons with Disabilities and the Elderly across Turkey.

On the 98th anniversary of the 29 October Republic Day, residents of nursing homes held a celebration ceremony with Turkish flags in their hands, paying attention to masks and distance, in accordance with the pandemic conditions.

After the speeches made in the celebration ceremonies, which started with a moment of silence on Friday, 29 October, our elders, who also shared their memories of the Republic, exhibited the beautiful products produced in the art workshops of our organizations.

In the painting exhibitions, which is called the 2nd Spring, of the elderly living in nursing homes, , the paintings they produced with handicrafts, the products of wood, glass and oil painting were presented to visitors.

Residents of the nursing home stated that they are happy to have their works exhibited within the scope of 29 October Republic Day.

29 October Republic enthusiasm ended with the musical choir of our nursing home elders, marches and local folk songs, accompanied by cake surprises.
