Minister of Family and Social Services Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş announced that the Ministry deposited 3.2 billion TL worth of pensions for older persons and persons with disabilities into their accounts in January.

Minister Göktaş stated that approximately 1.8 billion TL of pensions for older persons and approximately 1.4 billion TL of pensions for persons with disabilities were deposited into the accounts of their beneficiaries.

Stating that the Ministry developed inclusive and regular social assistance programs for persons with disabilities and older persons, Minister Göktaş said, "The Ministry stands by persons with disabilities and older persons in all areas from education to healthcare, from economy to social life so that persons with disabilities and older persons can live independently with their full and effective participation in social life. In this direction, the Ministry has deposited a total of 3.2 billion TL of pension for older persons and pensions for persons with disabilities in their accounts for the month of January."

On the other hand, Minister Göktaş noted that there would be an increase in the pensions of older persons and persons with disabilities after the new regulation in the salary coefficient of public personnel in January and said, "In order to prevent any loss of rights of citizens, the Ministry will deposit the changes in January into their accounts together with the payment of February."
