The Ministry of Family and Social Services has increased the monthly income support allowance paid to the owners of urban private public buses and maritime transportation vehicles that transport persons with disabilities, older persons, relatives of martyrs, and veterans free of charge. According to the amendment to the regulation published in the Official Gazette, the monthly support allowance of 2250 TL for each private maritime transportation vehicle providing urban public transportation services has been increased from 2250 TL to 3375 TL, the monthly support of 2992,5 TL for each transportation vehicle providing urban public transportation services in Ankara and Istanbul metropolitan municipalities has been increased to 4500 TL, and the monthly support of 2250 TL in other provinces with metropolitan municipalities has been increased to 3375 TL.

The "Regulation Amending the Regulation on the Procedures and Principles Regarding Income Support for Transportation Free of Charge" prepared by the Ministry of Family and Social Services and the Ministry of Treasury and Finance has been published in the Official Gazette.

With the Regulation Amending the Regulation on the Procedures and Principles Regarding Income Support for Transportation Free of Charge, the income support allowances made to the operators of private persons or companies authorized by the municipalities for each urban public transport vehicle and private maritime transport vehicle have been increased by 50 percent, effective as of July 1, 2023.

With the amendment made to the article regulating the payment amounts in the mentioned Regulation, the monthly support allowance of 2250 TL for each private maritime transportation vehicle providing urban public transportation service has been increased to 3375 TL as of July 1, 2023, and the monthly support of 2992,5 TL paid to each transportation vehicle providing urban public transportation service in Ankara and Istanbul metropolitan municipalities have been increased to 4500 TL.

In other provinces with metropolitan municipalities, the monthly support of 2250 TL paid to each transportation vehicle providing urban public transportation service has been increased to 3375 TL, and the monthly support of 1800 TL paid to each transportation vehicle providing urban public transportation service in provinces without metropolitan municipalities has been increased to 2700 TL.

On the other hand, the Ministry has made 1.662.000.000 TL income support payments since 2015 within the scope of the free-of-charge transportation application, which allows persons with disabilities, older persons, relatives of martyrs, and veterans to benefit free of charge from the road, maritime, railway, private-public buses and transportation vehicles in the city.
