The 1st International Gerontological Perspective Congress, organized jointly by the General Directorate of Services for the Persons with Disabilities and the Elderly and Muş Alparslan University, was held on 21-22.10.2021.

Stakeholders from public, academia, non-governmental organizations and nursing home personnel participated in the congress in the national and international context. Coşgun GÜRBOĞA, Deputy General Director of Services for Persons with Disabilities and the Elderly, said that the best interests of the elderly should be prioritized in his opening speech at the I. International Congress of Gerontological Perspectives.

Within the scope of the congress, the subject of aging was discussed under many sub-titles such as the COVID-19 process, measures to be taken after the process, policy recommendations, and demographic aging processes factors from a gerontological point of view.
