Covid-19 Vaccine Application Started in Our Disability and Elderly Care Organizations

Within the scope of the fight against Covid-19, the process has begun to vaccinate people and staff staying in organizations such as public and private nursing homes, disability care centers and shelters affiliated with the Ministry of Family, Labor and Social Services. In this context, vaccination will be carried out simultaneously with the completion of the first dose vaccines of health workers during the week.

87,120 People in Organizations Will Be Vaccinated

The first dose of vaccines in our organizations is also planned to be completed in a week. Within the scope of vaccination, 18,450 staff in public and private nursing homes, 30,000 disabled people, 14,470 staff in public and private nursing homes and 24,200 elderly people will be vaccinated. Thus, a total of 87,120 people in our organizations will be vaccinated.

Disability and Elderly Care Organizations Are Ready for Vaccination

The Ministry of Family, Labor and Social Services recently ordered all disabled and aged care organisations to complete the necessary preparations.

In this context, as a result of the meticulous work carried out in cooperation with the provincial health directorates, lists and files showing the health status of disabled and elderly residents and working personnel who received services from the organizations were prepared.

All studies have also been completed for the rooms where vaccination will be carried out in the organizations. Thus, disabled and elderly citizens will be able to get the first dose of Covid-19 vaccines in the organization where they stay without having to go out. Vaccines are delivered to disabled and elderly care organizations by protecting the cold chain within the framework of the measures determined by the Ministry of Health.
