Banking Regulation and Supervision Authority Will Fix the Problem of The Visually Impaired by Regulation Change


The problem experienced by visually impaired individuals in banks regarding "Fees to Be Taken from Financial Consumers" was resolved with the efforts of the General Directorate of Disability and Elderly Services and some non- governmental organizations.

The relevant regulation, dated Monday, February 10th, 2020, in the Official Gazette no. 31035, titled "Regulation of regulation from the Banking Regulation and Supervision Authority: REGULATION ON THE PRINCIPLES AND RINCIPLES RELATED TO FEES TO BE CHARGED FROM FINANCIAL CONSUMERS" has been prevented from experiencing problems for the visually impaired again.

In the fees to be taken from financial consumers, it leaves visually impaired individuals in a difficult position, "2) In the contracts to be issued on paper, "I have received a copy of the contract," the statement said in paragraph 2 of article 5 of the Regulation on The Principles and Principles on Fees to Be Taken from Financial Consumers dated 3/10/2014 and published in the Official Gazette no. 29138.
